Blurry pictures and all

I'm posting the blurry pictures anyway.  They are not as bad as I thought.  They also aren't as good as I hoped.  However, here they are along with the beautiful mother to be.

For the tree trunk i used a Styrofoam cone.  I don't know how that will work out in the long run.  Time will tell.  I also had asked my husband for something to use as a base.  My grass was ruffly, even after I ripped it out and redid it due to having too many stitches.  I told him the diameter I wanted and how many holes along the edge I needed.  He gave me a Plexiglas  circle that did exactly what I needed.  The tree was now stable and my grass stretched and unruffled.

I didn't do the fancy stitching at the edge for the grass.  I had run out of time by that point and could no longer fiddle with it.  The stitch asked for in the pattern is one I have not been able to do evenly for many years.  As you can see, I am missing the tiger and monkey.  Those will be done for when the baby is born along with 2 turtles.  More about those soon.

New Classes and New Schedule coming

It's that time again.  Time for new classes.  Time for new schedules.

As soon as I have the new classes, I will be posting them, emailing them to anyone I've talked to about classes.

Michaels in conjunction with Craft Yarn Council has chosen to do new project classes for each quarter.  I'm looking forward to seeing what is coming next.  I know I will be doing a class on ornamentation.  Things suitable for flip flops, hats, Christmas, whatever you might want to add some decoration.

There is also an Open House coming up on June 8.  I have no idea what or if the specials might be.

On more personal note, I had the great fun to go to a baby shower for a niece.  She received a lot of really nice gifts.  My gift for her was the stacking toy into the jungle crochet toy.  Sadly I didn't get it completed.  I still have the tiger and monkey to do.  I will be doing these for her coming home from the hospital gift along with a yertle and myrtle turtle toys and possibly a barbaloot suit.  Niece and her husband asked for Dr. Seuss books instead of cards.  I chose to get a book to go with each of the pieces.  Then I read them.  I may have gone a bit overboard.

Pictures will have to wait.  I took some they don't show much detail and are dark.  I will have to find a book or a class about this.  I would like to be a better photographer and not need to rely on my husband for good pictures.
