A Book Worth Reading Again

One of the books I keep coming back to read again and again is At Knit's End Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee.  This pocket sized book is full of wisdom and anecdotes, quotes and reminders to the knitter. The Yarn Harlot, as Ms Pearl-McPhee is known, could be speaking to me or any other knitter with the warmth and humor that is hers.

I picked this up yesterday to leaf through again as I rested my hands from the many feet of mattress stitch I've been doing to finish a gift.  No I didn't get it done despite working on it for an 8 hour car ride.  I'm ok with that.  The book reminded me that 1. There is more than one way to do things.  2.  It's important not to mess up the 2 most important knitting tools I have, my hands, and 3.  Late is better than filled with bad vibes.

I urge you to pick up a copy, or its audio version and give it a look or listen.
